A life without laughter and fun is hardly worth it.
If you want to flourish, give yourself permission to play.
It can be challenging not to take ourselves and our mission too seriously. It is easy to become too wrapped up in the pressure to accomplish your goals.
The best way to be healthy and filled with purpose is to be filled with joy and to have fun along the way.
Of course, you would like to be able to play and laugh. But do you?
Being filled with hope is being full of play.
It's a false narrative that you can't be mature and playful, that you can't be responsible and fun-loving.
The person you want to become like, the person who is playful and filled with purpose, what questions do they ask? What do they believe?
You can go through life focused on your goals, how much you have to get done, and the pressure you feel to be productive. Or you can go through life with fun, curiosity, and laughter.
It turns out that choosing to play will help you both experience joy and set you up best to be productive for the long haul.
