Truth is a revelation and a revolution.
Truth will not stay quiet. It whispers in the night, shouts out in the dawn, and speaks plain and clear in the noonday sun.
When you hear the truth, you know it.
But truth can be ignored, snuffed out, twisted, and denied.
Truth is foundational, and it will uphold you amid uncertainty.
Without truth, you are lost.
Without truth, things crumble. Without a value for honesty, marriage, friendships, and nations rot.
Truth is knowable.
Despite what many would say, although it can be difficult to discern, the truth can be known.
The truth will gnaw at you when you knowingly ignore it, calling you to change.
Truth invites faith and love.
Learning more truth doesn't mean you know everything; it shows you how little you know.
Learning more truth doesn't need to mean you become judgmental of others; genuine truth is full of love, awe, and delight.
If what I'm saying about truth feels far-off or fanciful, yet you want to know and experience the revelation and revolution of truth, pray a simple prayer:
"God, show me the truth. Speak to me. I'm listening."
Be faithful to pray that prayer and to listen.
Humble yourself. If you think you already have all the truth, you won't be open to the new breaking forth.
Persist in praying.
Quiet yourself to listen.
You will be amazed.
Quotes
"How to become more honest with yourself? Think about all the times you haven't been, and ask yourself: "did it make your life any better?" If you do this exercise intensely enough, your mindset will begin to shift. Acknowledging the consequences of your mistakes is the way to stop making them. "
Luca Dellanna, 100 Truths You Will Learn Too Late
"Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God."
John 3:20-21
