Victory starts with surrender.
Do you want victory over your greatest struggle? Do some days feel like you are out of control, with victory just out of reach? Consider the thing that feels like your Achilles heel, always waiting to take you down. Maybe you're fighting an addiction. Maybe you're longing for a loved one to change. Maybe you feel stuck in a job or a situation that feels impossible. Maybe you're fighting an addiction.
Whatever your struggle, surrender it to God.
The only way to victory is peaceful surrender.
Learn each morning to get quiet and surrender the day to the Lord. Take it easy, and rest. Identify any fears or uncertainty, and recognize that the outcomes are in God's hands, not yours and let go of taking control.
Sometimes God is inviting you to take courageous action. But so often courage looks like waiting. Resting. Listening. Being willing to do whatever God has for you while you wait.
Open your heart to whatever the Lord might say to you. Entrust your will and life and loved ones to God.
The surest path to victory in the war for your soul is to surrender to the Mighty One who has all power. Wherever you are, whatever you're facing, surrender to Him today.
Quotes
”We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one can make for us, which no one can spare us.“
Marcel Proust, Remembrance of Things Past
"I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Look to him, and be radiant, so your faces shall never be ashamed. This poor soul cried and was heard by the Lord and was saved from every trouble."
King David, Psalm 34:1-6, RSV
